Dear Parents, Thank you for your interest in St. Bernadette School!
Since 1960, St. Bernadette School has been a Christ-centered learning environment, where every student is valued as a unique child of God. We strive to develop each child to his or her full potential spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, physically and culturally. We are a school community of 462 students and 40 faculty and staff working closely with the Pastor, Parochial Vicars, and the greater parish community.
At St. Bernadette School, your child will reap the benefits of a curriculum which integrates the core subjects: Religion, language arts, math, science, and social studies. In addition, every child receives instruction in Spanish, art, music, computers, library and physical education. You can be assured that this instruction is of the highest caliber, evidenced by the full accreditation granted to St. Bernadette School in November 2007 by the National Catholic Education Association.
Beyond academics, St. Bernadette School offers many extracurricular activities, including parish-sponsored tennis, track and basketball teams. The Drama Club, open to students of all ages, presents a Christmas production each December and participates in the Diocesan Shakespeare Festival every spring. Service opportunities, such as altar servers, safety patrols and Student Council, and National Junior Honor Society are also available. And for those students interested in music, St. Bernadette sponsors The Cardinal Choir and an award-winning band, which consistently has received a "Superior" rating from the annual Diocesan Band Festival.
We invite you to take a tour of our school. Watch as Kindergarteners prepare simple PowerPoint presentations in the Computer Lab. Listen as an 8th grader leads a class discussion on social justice. Share in the Liturgy as 462 voices sing together in a School Mass. Come share St. Bernadette School.
God be with you,
Mrs. Trish Beeks
