Become a Hunger Champion with Saint Bernadette!

Around 673 million people worldwide face hunger every day. Together with the Rise Against Hunger team, we have the opportunity to become a new group of Hunger Champions, working to end hunger in remote, last-mile communities. Our Saint Bernadette Rise Against Hunger event will create a lasting, real-life impact as we come together for a start-to-finish meal assembly experience. Volunteers will pack meals of rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables, and a packet of 20 essential vitamins and minerals-nutritious meals that store easily, transport quickly, and provide long-lasting nourishment to those in need. These meals help meet urgent nutritional needs and pave the way toward resilient, brighter futures.

Your Impact Goes Beyond a Meal

Take Patricia, a student at Oro Site High School in Legazpi City, Philippines. Through Rise Against Hunger’s partnership with Convoy of Hope, Patricia receives meals enriched with vitamins and minerals needed for healthy growth and learning. “I really like the meals that the parents cook us-it’s so delicious, and it makes me eat more!” she says. Events like ours directly support children like Patricia, ensuring nutrition, education, and hope. For many children around the world, returning to the classroom isn’t guaranteed-but a single meal can make all the difference.

Next fall, Saint Bernadette will once again participate in a Week of Service from November 12-14, 2026. Saint Bernadette Church and School will partner with Rise Against Hunger to raise $ 100,000 to purchase the raw ingredients and pack 200,000 meals, here at Saint Bernadette. These meals will support educational programs around the world-a true Corporal Work of Mercy in action. To make this life-changing event possible, prayers, financial gifts and volunteers are needed. Every contribution will make this life changing event possible, many helping hands-like yours-will make it a reality. The children who receive these meals thank you for your generosity of time, talent and treasure. Together, we can nourish bodies, open classrooms, and build hope for a brighter future.
