"Modern man listens more willingly to witnesses than to teachers, and if he does listen to teachers, it is because they are witnesses."-- Pope Paul VI, Evangelii Nuntiandi (41), 1975
Looking for an opportunity to be a witness to our faith? We are in need of adult and teen volunteers to help in our program. If you feel called to share your time and talent to teach children about our faith, please fill out the form below.
We need lead catechists, aides, and teen helpers to work with children in the classrooms. Training and support are provided for all our volunteers! We are here to help you teach, with ideas, resources, and assistance to make your volunteering experience fruitful for you as well as your students! If you are thinking about helping, please call us and we can answer your questions. You will be amazed at how much you can learn when you teach children!
We also need hallway monitors, parking lot and outside security volunteers, and interior security volunteers. With over one hundred-fifty students per session, we need help to keep everyone safe and secure-- even if it's just helping some of our young learners remember the way to their classrooms!
Adults must be compliant with the policies of the Office of Child Protection and Safety in the Diocese of Arlington. All adults must attend a 4-hr VIRTUS seminar and complete a paperwork packet which includes a background check. Teens serving as classroom aides must have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. When you contact us about volunteering, we will help you begin the clearance process.
