FAITH FORMATION

Living the Liturgical Year:

Happy November! The month of November is dedicated to the Souls in Purgatory, the Church Suffering. Today, November 2, we commemorate All Souls’ Day and remember those who have died, especially those who have not reached heaven. You can teach your children to honor our beloved dead by praying at Mass for their intention and prayers. A prayer you can recite daily with your family during November is the Traditional prayer used by the Church in the Rite of Christian Burial:

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. All: Amen.
All: May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
